Mangrove Striated Heron catches fish from the pier…

He sat on the edge of the pier, bending over so far it was surprising that he did not fall into the water…He got a fish, then had to turn the fish around so he could swallow it without the scales sticking into him….amazing..The pictures tell the story

    Hey, really nice pictures! Although that is not an Oystercatcher, it is a small heron species – I think probably a Striated Heron (little heron).
