New Zealand 2005

I went back for a holiday in New Zealand in 2005 and these are photos from that year.

For 6 years I lived and worked in New Zealand starting from Auckland where I taught at Mangere School, on to Mahia Peninsula and then to the South Island Invercargill. I simply fell in love with New Zealand. I loved every place I went to and bought a small cottage on the foreshore at Bluff. I have always regretted selling that cottage opposite the swimming pool built by convicts during the war, which I swam in almost daily.

One of my  favorite places was the Catlins and many weekends I went there to stay in a small caravan and enjoy the beauty of the Catlins.
